For now, I shall note my road racing history in my adult life:

Had things turned out differently, I would still be running today.  However, a bunion during the 2012 training season knocked me out permanently.  Sure, I did get it one more shot in 2017 to celebrate the Cubs winning the World Series the previous year.

Essentially, this running history overlaps my transition into my mahjong life.  Noting the dates, I started mahjong play in Nov 2009.  I don't remember the day, when I approached Chicago Area Mahjong.  However, that day was definitely before the Twin Cities Marathon.  When I did show up, I remember noting my marathon training that day.  Thus, my regular attendance to mahjong wasn't a thing yet.

Today, I did trot a little.  That got me thinking: maybe with this cadence, I can actually go the distance again.  I new pair of running shoes would help too.  Given my fitness level now, I will definitely not match any of the above records.  I'm not as young as I was at 30 after all.

For now, I can consider it.  For my health, it might do me some good.
